Why Choose Us?

We are a small, local business, well known for all the right reasons. With over 50 years trading behind us, we must be doing something right!

Nixon Reeves are extremely proud of the fact that the majority of our work comes from recommendation and repeat custom. As it’s highly unlikely that anyone who had had a bad experience would recommend the same company to their friends or family or indeed contemplate using the company again themselves, the amount of repeat and recommended business is indicative that Nixon Reeves does an excellent job.

We believe that a fundamental part of succeeding in providing an excellent service is simply managing customers’ expectations at all times. If we make an appointment, we keep it and if we can’t we’ll call and let you know and if necessary re-arrange. You may have to wait a while for us to start because we’re busy but once we’re on site, we stay on site.

We don’t operate our business from a mobile phone or from the back of a van, we have an office which is run by Darren’s wife, Jo, who is available Monday to Friday to help with any queries or problems you may have.

Additionally, all of our employees are subject to a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check which is routinely updated.

Helping You Decide

We know that we run our business with integrity and that we have high ethical and moral business beliefs but you may not know anything about us.

However, as a member of the National Federation of Builders, you can rest assured that we are required to meet certain criteria and are checked and assessed in various aspects.

Please take the time to read the information below about the two schemes to learn more about the criteria.

National Federation of Builders

National Federation of Builders (NFB)

Member companies have to satisfy what the NFB believes to be the most stringent entrance criteria for any building trade association. Companies must provide references from accountants, previous clients, suppliers and professionals such as architects and surveyors.

All references are followed up and, if satisfactory, applications are then put before a panel of existing members, who are local to the potential new member, for assessment. All member companies must be VAT registered (if applicable) and CITB registered. Only if the panel is satisfied with the company's technical competence, health and safety standards and financial probity is the company admitted into membership.

The Federation also requires member companies to adhere to a stringent Code of Conduct governing their relationship with clients.

Our NFB Membership number is CO0003057.

For more information about the NFB, please go to www.builders.org.uk.

Please feel free to verify their membership with TrustMark and the NFB.

FENSA

FENSA

FENSA stands for the Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme. It has been set up by the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) and other industry bodies with Government encouragement in response to the current Building Regulations for England and Wales.

When having windows and doors replaced homeowners must comply with current thermal performance standards and ensure that they get a certificate of compliance from FENSA or from Local Authority Building Control.

FENSA also enables companies that install replacement windows and doors to self certify compliance under these Building Regulations.

For more information about FENSA, please go to www.fensa.org.uk

Our FENSA company number is 30598.
